Display and Design
Seeing the design as a bigger scale version of the design of the other iPhone 12 models is the easiest and most convenient way to explain it.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max features the same look and feel as its smaller siblings, but in a larger form factor. A 6.7-inch display, the largest in the series and larger than the 6.1-inch display on the iPhone 12 Pro, distinguishes it from the competition.
The 6.7-inch screen of the iPhone 12 Pro Max uses the same Super Retina XDR OLED technology as its predecessors. The display has a pixel density of 548 pixels per inch and a resolution of 1284 x 2778 pixels.
Underneath the display glass, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a Cermaic shield, same like its brothers. To protect the display, this ceramic shield was created.
This iPhone features an IP68 grade for dust and water resistance, which can withstand immersion in water for 30 minutes at a depth of 6 meters.
There was also some criticism of Apple’s new MagSafe technology, which was introduced to iPhones this year. With the aid of an iPhone, users may connect various accessories to the back of the iPhone 12 Pro max, which supports MagSafe.
Most people’s favorite MagSafe attachment was the MagSafe charger, which is a wireless charger that can be attached directly to the back of an iPhone.
When compared to the iPhone 12 Pro, the cameras on the iPhone 12 Pro Max aren’t all that different. They’re almost identical in every way. This is the single difference between the two cameras: the rear-facing Telephoto camera has a larger capacity.
Compared to the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s telephoto camera has a 12x digital zoom, while the iPhone 12 Pro has a 10x digital zoom. Except for this camera variation, all of the camera’s characteristics are the same.
Additionally, there is a 12MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 2MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.6 on the back.
Last but not least, the iPad Pro 2020 has a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensor. This will aid in augmented reality as well as nighttime focusing.
A 3D depth sensor is attached to the front-facing 12MP camera, which has an aperture of f/2.2.
Hardware and Software
A14 Bionic, Apple’s first 5nm processor, is the heart of the iPhone 12 Pro max’s performance hardware. This is the same CPU used in the iPhone 12 series, as well as the iPad Air 2020, which debuted with it earlier this year.
A 4-core Apple GPU and a choice of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage are among the key performance drivers.
No Charging Brick
For this year’s flagship iPhones, Apple made a daring move by removing charging bricks from the box. There will be no charging cable included with any of the iPhone 12 models.
When the charging bricks are removed, Apple claims that their carbon footprint is reduced, as is the package’s size, which in turn lowers the number of courier cars required and, as a result, their carbon footprint.
It runs iOS 14.1, which includes a slew of new features including widgets that are exclusive to this model.
There is a Lightning connector on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, as well as NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and WiFi with Dual-Band.
The iPhone 12 Pro max’s internet connection is limited to 5G, which means users may use 5G for watching, downloading, and uploading.
Pricing and Availability for the New iPhone 12s Plus
